Jade and Dan's celebration was basically the archetypal September Pictures day: a laid-back London wedding in a cool city venue with strong cocktails, good shoes and almost entirely documentary coverage. (Clapton Country Club wedding photography is always a really fun day for us – see Sophie and Luke's gallery for the same venue decked out for a Christmas wedding.)
Jade got ready at home in their art-filled flat, surrounded by friends, then headed to the venue in their own vintage car.
Dan was waiting outside to greet her, while late-arriving guests dashed cheerfully past to take their seats. A friend conducted the ceremony, everyone cried, a glass was stomped on with gusto, everyone hugged, and then we partied. At some point a handful of family groups were gathered for a photo, between drinks being spilled and confetti being flung. We shot almost zero posed pictures. Everything was brilliant.
