• Accept that your photographers will have Sorted for E's and Wizz the whole time, especially if you get married somewhere, somewhere in a field in Hampshir
• Don't worry about the weather; if you can't stop worrying about the weather, a wedding in a field might not be the best idea
• Prepare for extreme rain/heat (because climate change is real): umbrellas and blankets at the ready
• Hire the fancy portaloos: your guests will thank you
• Expect to be running at least an hour behind schedule by dessert, no matter what the caterers say
• Definitely arrange a tug of war; bonus points if lots of gin has been consumed first
